Madam Akua Donkor, a prominent and interesting figure in Ghanaian politics, has reportedly passed away at Ridge Hospital in Accra on Monday, 28th October, 2024.
A close source who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the unfortunate news, adding that Akua Donkor was hopeful even on her sick bed, that she would recover and complete strongly in the December 7 election but she couldn't live to see that day.
She reportedly passed on at about 10pm. on Monday
evening, October 28, 2024 at the Greater Accra regional hospital (Ridge Hospital where she was on admission. She was 72.
Details surrounding her death remain undisclosed, and Ghanaians are encouraged to extend their sympathies to her family during this time.
Nonetheless, Akua Donkor, known for her spirited political career, founded the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) and was recognized for her outspoken nature and dedication to advocating for farmers' and women's rights.
